“All true love is from God, and man receives the divine affection as he himself bestows this love upon his fellows. Love is dynamic. It can never be captured; it is alive, free, thrilling, and always moving. Man can never take the love of the Father and imprison it within his heart. The Father’s love can become real to mortal man only by passing through that man’s personality as he in turn bestows this love upon his fellows.” UB, 117:6.10]
Thought Adjuster: “Why is the love substance so elusive to human beings, knowing that the Father’s love forever IS, never interrupted in its free flow? It is the essence of life, part of the universe's circulatory system.
Since the sense of disconnect does not originate in the Father’s attitude toward you, it has to come from yours. The quality of love has been adulterated in many human lives by commingling it with the toxicity of selfishness — the ‘what-is-in-it-for-me,’ and the many subjective conditions that dictate the selective bestowal of your affection.
Deprived of its free-flowing quality, love quickly withers and loses its vitality and endearing appeal. By becoming a genuine conduit for the love that flows through your open heart — not out of a joyless sense of duty, you will gain vibrancy and attractiveness, as such a way of living constantly floods your being with uplifting and pristine energies.
The Father is a universal Donor and, when circulated through your receptive heart, his love will make you one too — as Jesus was.”
