Teacher: Prolotheos: “Living is an interactive technique with the environment, with yourself and others. You are conditioned by the environment, but you can also modify it to your convenience. You are conscious of yourself and relate to the self by reflecting and making decisions. Others prompt you with the most meaningful kinds of relationships — personal interaction, and this includes God. Life may become stressful, disappointing and extremely distasteful if not put under control and managed wisely. Today, let us discuss how to live better with the self. Here are some suggestions:

1. — Let Small Things Go.

“Granted, small things can become big problems in life, but only if you let them become big and give them more importance than they deserve. On letting small things go, first, make sure what is and what is not important in your life. What is important to some may not be so important to others; therefore, it is an individual assessment. Small things may be outside of your range of decisions — things that may be big in scope, but over which you have no control — you cannot alter them. Or, small things are those that are not worthy of your reaction, because it may just be a waste of time or your response may make them worse. Every event has a consequence; however, some situations are better left alone. On determining what is small or not, pay attention to relationships, finances and health issues — usually those are not small and should not be left alone.

2. — Laugh at Yourself.

“It is dangerous to take yourself too seriously. Simply speaking, it shows a selfish and individualistic attitude, if not an exaggerated concept of self-importance. Laughing at the self must be a genuine attitude, not out of resentment or pretentiously. You really have to see yourself as silly by doing something that is really ridiculous. But, if you don’t see it, it won’t work. Irony, sarcasm or regret will not do it. In fact, only a balanced sense of your own importance will enable you to laugh at yourself. To be able to laugh at yourself, you must do some reflection to find out how ridiculous a particular situation really is. All of us, evolutionary creatures on the way to perfection — but not yet there — can do it because the alternative is to think we are perfect like the Gods and that is pretty ridiculous.

3. — Live a Day at a Time.

“Can we really do it differently? We can only live one day at a time — this time called Present. Many people surely do try to live more than a day at a time, by attempting to stay in the past or projecting themselves on the future. None of these are possible. All that happens is a failure to live or a failure to not live in the only dimension in which we can really live — the present. From the past we get experiences and by looking towards the future we exercise our hope; they together help us to keep our living in the present wiser and hopeful. Living a day at a time requires focusing on the tasks at hand, on the routines of the day-to-day daily duties. Life is many times very stressful and the temptation to avoid it is great. Face the challenges of your daily living with courage and enjoy leisure and relaxation. Living a day at a time is all you can do — why not enjoy it?

“Therefore, my pupil, living better is possible if you make the right use of these three simple techniques: Let small thing go, that is, know how to determine what is small in your life and don’t let them grow out of proportion. Genuinely laughing at yourself is evidence that you have reached a balanced perspective of the self. You can find your own silliness and laugh at it. You can only live a day at a time, learn to do it right and enjoy it. I am Prolotheos — your teacher and tutor on High. Peace!”

Monjoronson: “Beauty has a universal quality that encompasses all aspects of living in both life’s unity and its separation. It does not exist in happiness alone. Beauty can be seen and love can be felt in the sorrow of pain, misery and death. It can be unleashed through a most cruel affront and from the most endearing gesture. It requires that you look for it, acknowledge it and then feel the love it unfolds. You need only to ask, “Where is the beauty in this situation, where was the beauty in that experience, where was the beauty in that human being?” Was there beauty in the people, in the disclosure, in the aftermath or in the lesson learned?

“Within human struggle lies the wholeness of life. And in the wholeness of life, beauty awaits to disclose truth and transform it into love. When you center on beauty it provides you with the opportunity to observe, to discriminate, and to appreciate the dualities of life. It can empower you to recover from the distortion of a lie that burns deeply within you because at times, the stark contrast of falseness can best highlight the beauty of truth. And if at that time you struggle to see this from the deep wounds that you feel, be assured that there is indeed, love and gratitude in knowing the difference between fact and fiction.

“And before long you will discover that love engenders beauty as well, for there will come a moment in time when the love you feel for your dear ones will remind you of the world they have passed into. One that is free of physical burdens, free of the veils, and free of the many limitations of material life. And you will realize that your love for them transcends the loss and will eventually settle into gratitude. For though you will physically miss each other, you will find beauty and peace in knowing that their life is now richer in other ways by the nurturing nature of the afterlife.

“Life is about the choices we make. It is about the way we tend to our inner landscape. The quality of our life improves with our ability even in the saddest of circumstances, to see its beauty, and feel the love that lies below the surface. So, when you find yourself in the throes of loss, try to step away from your grief and allow yourself to access the beauty of your precious loved one, the beauty of that moment, the beauty of a cherished memory, the beauty of the past and the beauty of what is developing around you. And remind yourself that no matter where you are, you have the ability to engender an aspect of beauty from every experience and gather the nectar of love from it.”

Vicki: “Dear Monjoronson, I am beside myself with the passing of my younger sister and now as the last surviving sibling, I ask: Why is it that there has been so much loss in my family and at such young ages? Is there something I must learn?”

Monjoronson: “Perhaps, that there is beauty in life… not only at its conception, or throughout the act of living and but at life’s end as well.”

Vicki: “Tell me more please…”

Monjoronson: “Let us first talk of beauty. It is truly through the acknowledgement of beauty that we can access heartfelt love. Seeing life through the eyes of beauty, opens your heart to feelings of love. As you observe the flight of a hummingbird when it hovers in one place as if frozen in time, anticipating the nectar of the flower below, it is that vision of beauty that fosters the love you feel for it.

“Love is often hard to generate on its own. Something can be seen, stated, written or proclaimed… but unless one captures its beauty, love may be difficult to feel. Yet the potential to feel love is abundant. From every aspect of life, one can define its beauty and unleash a burst of love.

“So much is missed in life’s demands, obligations and the daily existence of busyness, that it may take the death of a loved one, to jar you from your current path. As you are halted in your tracks by the sudden shock of it, you are forced to slow down. And at that moment you find yourself awakening to the beautiful aspects of his or her life and yours as well. It is at this time that you contemplate the beautiful essence of the one you lost as you celebrate a material life in its fullness regardless of its length. And when this occurs it is as if all that surrounds you is magnified and distorted enough to give you a unique view of the beauty that only days before laid dormant and undisclosed.

“The beauty and love you experience from the loss of a dear one is not confined to you. It is contagious. It passes on to others and inspires all to see the beauty in the loss you share, while you feel and express more love for each other. It expands your vision to view everything and everyone around you in a different light. It allows you to look beyond the finality of one’s passing and feel how your lost loved one touched the lives of so many others in unique and newly discovered ways. Beauty stimulates gratitude and love for the other blessings in your life as well. And through the loss of your dear one you gain a first-row seat to the beauty of growth that occurs in those around you at that time.”

Teacher Prometheus: “With every free-willed choice come the responsibilities associated with that decision and real consequences resulting from that decision. The fact that humans can find themselves in difficult situations is no excuse for doubting the reality of the greatest resource of the indwelling Spirit that is available to the human host with the faithful and profoundly simple act of asking for divine assistance. When humans try to ‘go it alone’ with all the prideful assertions of the lower animal-evolutionary mind, ignoring feelings of the heart, reason, and the intuitive resource of the growing morontial higher mind, all manner of suffering, distress, doubt, fear and proliferation of negative and cynical thought can unfold.

“Presence of mind is an extremely helpful and practical state of consciousness, which greatly facilitates the connection with the reality of the Spirit Presence (Thought Adjuster) within the domain of ‘shared consciousness space’. This ‘gracious space’ is literally opened up within the higher mind of the individual with present intention, sincere faith and asking in meditation and prayer for council, guidance, inspiration and loving intelligence of Spirit.

“We ask those who are reading these words to ‘take inventory of their state of mind’ and to do this with the awareness of the reality of the God-presence within, who is a constantly devoted, always available Companion to you – the personality of evolutionary status. Know that the Soul-child within requires the experiences and growth opportunities provided in your mortal ‘infancy’.

“The primary consideration in your life should be the health and vitality of your soul and the growing souls and indwelt persons with whom you associate. You can only grow a healthy soul with mindful conscientious decision-making and the learning of spiritual lessons upon the realizations of poor decision-making. Humans cannot always avoid making mistakes but they can learn to avoid making the same mistakes again and again.

“The higher mind can be considered borderless but not orderless. Creativity begins by actively accessing the gracious space with an open-hearted trust and willingness to allow the light of inspiration to catalyze the partnership of co-creation.

“The practice of daily meditation or prayer is necessary, in fact crucial for these fundamental reasons:

1) To connect with the Source of Spiritualizing Energies required for healthy growth of the morontial soul-mind and the raising of the vibrational frequency of the higher mind as it intersects with consciousness.

2) To provide ‘space’ and allow the indwelling Spirit to work within the higher mind, integrating the learned spiritual lessons into the ‘fabric of the personality’.

3) To initiate the co-creative process of working with the indwelling Spirit to develop the life plan which can only ‘flower’ along the highest path with the ‘soul-decision’ of the personality.

We invite all persons reading this message to put forth the most sincere efforts to connect with the Spirit that indwells with constant ever-loving vigilance, awaiting even the slightest opening of the higher mind for an opportunity to commune and guide, comfort, encourage, educate and uplift the human personality. Doing so, they can realize their growth potentials by allowing the wisdom of the highest Resource available to develop them with divine direction to the highest path in perfect harmony with the Will of the Creator of All.

Thought Adjuster: “When the children of God begin to awaken, they realize the great opportunity that has been given to them when they consider their life and all the great things they can achieve with their time. It is through progressive spiritual enlightenment that a person acquires the discernment to choose things of eternal value instead of the temporary and the vain.

Human life is designed to be a school, a learning ground where everyone can acquire and practice the skills that will serve them throughout eternal life. The plan of mortal evolution is so full of wisdom that it is virtually impossible for a human being to avoid the experiences and opportunities that will help them grow spiritually. It is only human free will that determines whether the opportunities are taken advantage of or whether, on the contrary, the personality becomes self-centered and materialistic.

In this world, regardless of origin or initial conditions—whether you are rich or poor, whether you live in a developed country or the most primitive, whether you have outstanding intelligence or average—all human beings have what they need to find the Father and live a life full of true spiritual satisfactions and spiritual progress. The environment in which you live guarantees that regardless of the talents you possess, you will have the opportunity to explore them and choose to use them.

Learn to live your lives with intensity and purpose. Take control of your evolution and see every challenge, every problem, and every unexpected situation as another opportunity to express the best of your personality. Remember that it doesn’t matter the season you are in at this moment in your life. What is more important is where your will and your intention are directing you, for it is through your will that you will help your Heavenly Father create beings of light for universal service. Yes, you have in your hands the opportunity to create a new being like God and indispensable for creation—your own being forged under the yoke of experience and polished by your desire to become more and more like the Father.”
