Many of us chant mantras and they bring not just peace and serenity but each one has a different purpose. Under Merlin’s guidance, I have been preparing Module 3 of Merlin’s magic course of the higher heart.  This module is about clairvoyance.  I was amazed to discover that one of the most popular mantras is very powerful for opening the third eye to clairvoyance.  I share about it in the module.

Some of the sacred mantras help to clarify the third eye, eg Om Nama Shivaya and Aum (but not Om). See Lauren’s Angel Meditation below for a beautiful meditation for chanting AUM.

When the mantras are chanted 108 times the energy is amplified.

According to Lord Kumeka, the mantra Om Namo Bhagavate Va Su Devaya is very powerful. It certainly proved to be the case on the night when my grandson, Finn, was born.  He was very overdue and suddenly I became extremely aware that it was almost too late.  I suggested to my daughter and her partner that we chant Om Namo Bhagavate Va Su Devaya for him to come.  We sat with intention and started to chaunt it..  Within half an hour my daughter felt very strong contractions and was rushed  to hospital.   Finn was born in the lift.  Apparently, the ambulance crew was very excited when they thought they would have to birth him!

When I asked Kumeka what happened on a spiritual level, I was told that Finn was indeed far away and when we started to chant, he heard the call and came immediately.  I asked what would have happened if we hadn’t chanted. Would he have died?  I was told that he would have lived, but he would not have got onto his right pathway.  To me it illustrates the power of mantras.

Again to my surprise when I was talking to Lord Kumeka about mantras he told me that the mantra I AM the gold ray of Christ, that I wrote many years ago and was put to music by Rosemary Stephenson, is as powerful as the Gayatri!  Wow!

I was scrolling through Angel Inspiration and found this – Lauren’s Angel Meditation

 

Light a candle and then sit comfortably with your back straight and supported if necessary.

1. Relax for a few minutes as you watch the candle flame flickering.
2. Softly chant AUM three times and feel the resonance of this ancient mantra flowing round your body.
3. Close your eyes and see the flame in your mind’s eye. Carry it down to your heart and let the flame of the candle  light the spiritual flame in your own heart.
4. Feel your heart sing with joy.
5. Very softly and gently call in your angels with an OOO sound. See them with you, adding their own laughter and strength to the flame in your heart. Let them add their sound to yours.
6. Be aware of them smiling at you as they acknowledge and thank you for asking them to help. They are around you and ready to work with you.
7. Call on Archangel Michael for protection, and Archangel Jophiel to give you wisdom and illuminate your heart and mind.
8. Ask the angels to sing with you to open up your heart to unconditional love. As you tone an AAAAH sound, feel your heart expand and see the pink ray of love pouring into it from the angels, which surround you. Let this love lift you and release you.
9. The light and love which are within you and surround you give you immense power to work with the light of the angels for healing. You can choose where to direct this light. In your mind’s eye, see the situation, pattern or person you would like to send light to. See Archangel Michael and Jophiel on either side of this person or situation, encasing it in a ball of brilliant golden light.
10. Ask to be a channel for the angels to sing through and open up your throat centre with a gentle ‘Eye’ tone. Invoke the angels to sing through you and allow this sound to change as they do so. Let yourself be guided and know that whatever sound comes through you will be perfect. Visualise the situation changing as it receives and absorbs the healing sounds.
11. When your work is complete, mentally disconnect from the situation, person or pattern that you have been healing. Focus again on your angels beside you. Thank them for their help and listen for any further guidance they may have for you.
12. Make sure you are grounded. See the cords going from your feet, deep into Mother Earth, and feel her own energy coming up to meet yours, supporting and grounding you.
13. Open your eyes and focus on the candle flame again. Feel the flame of joy in your heart. Finally blow out the candle and dedicate its light to the person, pattern or situation you have been working on.

Mars has slowed for its direct station on February 23rd at 17º of Cancer. And as it does so it makes a trine to Saturn in Pisces. It may still be out of bounds, pushing against limits, but the limits themselves are gently pushing back. There are reasons why Mars is considered to be exalted in the Saturn sign of Capricorn. Mars left to its own devices can be dangerous. We need the things of Mars: fire, energy, heat, motivation, movement, and passion. However too much fire can destroy, and too much passion can consume our senses.

But if you take that same energy and you channel it in a constructive way, much like the insulation around a wire guides the energy for a selective purpose, so we can use Saturn to channel our energy and our passions in useful ways. Retrograde and out of bounds Mars feels both stagnant and reckless at the same time. Like swimming upstream with your last ounce of energy, Saturn reminds us that there is only one way forward, and that is to persist. We don’t give up the fight when Mars is trine Saturn. We don’t throw our hands up in frustration, we persist.

Due to its station, Mars will continue to trine Saturn through the middle of April, at which time Mars will approach the last of its oppositions to Pluto. This is the stuff that requires courage and fortitude. The stuff that requires staunch determination. This is not about losing our way. This is about staying the course.

Use the Mars/Saturn trine for anything that requires patience, planning, discipline and persistence. And that is true even if your heart isn’t particularly in it. Set goals for yourself. Both long term and short term. And just through sheer determination you will make progress, even if it doesn’t feel like it is happening at the time. And before you know it, you will make it through to the other side. One day at a time, one foot in front of the other.

On Friday, Mercury dives into the diluvian depths of Pisces, followed by the Sun on February 18th, and so we enter Pisces season. With 4 planets, plus the North Node in the sign of Pisces we are being asked to have faith, even in the face of uncertainty. To have hope even when all else appears otherwise.

Soon, Neptune and then Saturn will enter Aries. But before they do so they are moving through the liminal void found at the very end of Pisces. Whenever the slow moving planets, like Neptune, enter Aries, it can almost feel like a revival or even a rebirth. But from where we are standing, with Neptune in the last few degrees of its 160-year-long journey through the whole zodiac, there is a sloughing off, a sadness, a bitt of ennui, and perhaps even some deep despair. We stand on the threshold of a new order, something that could even feel like a spiritual rebirth. We just have no idea what that is going to look like. We cannot yet see it. So as we stand here with Neptune in the last degrees of the last sign of the zodiac, we are all being asked to take this leap of faith as we progress out into the unknown.

Never are we more intuitive than when we immerse ourselves in the sign of Pisces, a sign of vast potential. Never can we feel more, see more, touch more hearts than through the sign of divine compassion. We may stand here waiting for the other shoe to fall into the apparent chaos of the abyss that is opening before us, but know that much of what we are seeing is confounded by so much smoke and mirrors..

Our homework for the next several weeks, is:

To be present even in the face of impermanence and uncertainty. That means focusing on what is in front of us. Do not ignore it or pretend it away. See it for what it is now, and know that we are in a state of flux and change.

To have faith that we are being led where we need to be, even if it doesn’t look like it, and even in the face of uncertainty.

To remember that we are all swimming in this Great Ocean that we call Life, and that there are others here with us. We are not alone. And if one falters, we will hold each other up.

To remember that within the sign of Pisces is a vast potential, uncommonly perceived at other times, but stronger now. Within that potential we are all planting seeds, therefore plant seeds of hope, plant seeds of compassion, caring and empathy.

To remember that together we are so much stronger, so much more powerful than we could possibly be on our own.

To recognize and connect to your own divine center, from which all potential emerges. Be aware of that still small voice that breathes into your conscience, and reminds you of who you truly are in your heart of hearts. For that is what will lead us more surely and more dependably than any other road map out there.

As a preview it might be helpful to remember that we are standing on the threshold of an awakening. Much of what we have been experiencing up until now is tainted with destruction. But as all the planets are changing signs this year, they are all going to be in approximately the same degrees of their signs. And as a result they will be speaking to each other in uncommon ways. Pluto in the early degrees of Aquarius will be sextile to Saturn and Neptune as they enter Aries. And as Uranus enters Gemini it will be trine Pluto and sextile Saturn and Neptune. This is incredibly creative energy which can open all sorts of innovative ideas and lay the groundwork for invention and technological breakthroughs.These too can change the world in ways that we might not even be able to fathom.

These can also be used to adapt to change in the best possible ways, which may require us to update our goals and strategies for the future. The alignment of these outer planets also asks us to bring our personal goals and strategies more in alignment with our ideals, especially where it can benefit a higher purpose, a cause, or the greater good of humanity as a whole. And so Dr. King also advised us back in those days of the early civil rights movements, to: Commit yourself to the noble struggle for human rights. You will make a greater person of yourself, a greater nation of your country, and a finer world to live in. So may it be.

In the course of researching who’s alive and who’s not, I came across a list that AMG-News alleges is of folks who are being sheltered in the witness protection program. Most are there because they knew that JFK had survived his “assassination.”

I’m guessing that there are more – perhaps many more – in the program generally as are on this list. This is clearly a list of people who feel it’s safe to be known again. Or maybe they think they’re too old to be recognized.

I’m not willing to accept that all the people on this list are there only because they knew JFK Sr was still alive. Heather O’Rourke, for instance, star of Poltergeist (1982), whose alleged fate at the hands of Satanists would utterly revolt you, would not have been born then.

But the full story will emerge, I’m sure. Until then, we can’t do otherwise than rely on the most credible of the reform outlets (they’re not alt-right) if we want to know what’s happening (and Matthew!).  (1) And hold it as a possible truth until we know all the facts.

Whenever the great Lord Jupiter stations, the planet of Big Vision, High Hopes and grand expectations, it is accompanied by a trine to the Sun. This brings a resurgence of confidence and hope, a rekindling of the heart, reminding us of what this journey is all about in the end: the things that matter. This year Jupiter will make its direct station on February 4th, but before it does so it makes its trine to the Sun right after the New Moon in Aquarius, on January 29th (7:36 am here on the East Coast of the United States; 4:36 am on the West Coast and 12:36 pm in Greenwich time). And how timely this all is.

Just as we are all grasping for that one glimmer of hope, that last vestige of goodness, here the New Moon arrives escorted by the grand planet of benevolent optimism. It almost seems as if it is here to remind us of what our vision for the future was, and what we need to do to revive it. Back in April Jupiter made a conjunction to Uranus (the modern ruling planet of Aquarius) at approximately 22º of Taurus, instilling the seeds for some sort of vision for the future that would allow you to reframe your life in a way that might work best for you, and make your life better.

Jupiter and Uranus would move on. Jupiter entered Gemini. They both stationed retrograde. And now both are stationing Direct. One day after the New Moon in Aquarius, Aquarius-ruler Uranus ends its retrograde and stations direct at 23º Taurus, just 1 degree from the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction last year in April. It’s as if both of these planets are reminding us of the seeds that had been planted way back when, and are now ready to germinate, sprout and grow.

During the 5 months that Uranus has been in its retrograde phase we’ve been processing and making all sorts of inner adjustments, in service to that vision for the future, or in order to bring us more in alignment with our highest ideals and aspirations. And all of those internal changes that have been taking place, all of those seeds have been incubating. And now, due to a series of surprises, challenges, twists and turns, we have all been compelled to either adjust to a whole new way of being, or to recommit to those values, to those ideals, that we would like to see promoted in the world at large, and in our own lives. This is about walking the walk, as well as talking the talk.

The Saturn/Pluto semi-square is exact on the 26th, so we should not come into this carrying any illusions. We are being shown precisely how things are. Whether or not we choose to face the truth of the challenges we are being faced with, or to escape into a world of delusion is entirely up to us. But there are forces operating here, that are much larger than any one individual. And we are all going to be choosing our place on the new playing board that is being laid out before us. And the one gift we are being given this week, is the gift of hope.

The Aquarius New Moon is a moon of stark awarenesses, of new realizations, and all of the adjustments that must occur, all the ramifications of whatever changes have already happened. Nothing remains hidden long with this New Moon in Aquarius.

New Moons set the tone for new beginnings. And the New Moon in Aquarius fills us with the intention to seek the freedom to live our lives more truly and authentically. What that will actually be will become even more evident over the months ahead. But to recognize what that is for each of us is essential, and will serve as your lodestar moving forward, and commit to that. Even if that means having to stand out and be separate. Even if that means having the courage to be a paragon of the change we wish to see in the world.

This is the day each year that we are given permission to fully appreciate that which is special and unique about each and every one of us, and to wear it as a badge of honor. The Aquarius New Moon corresponds with the celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year. According to the Chinese Astrological Pantheon, we are entering the year of the Wood Snake, which begins on January 29th and culminates with the Lantern Festival at the Full Moon on February 12th. May we use the Snake Wisdom of the Lunar New Year to guide us in all of our choices.

This is an excellent and fortuitous Moon to make intentions with. If you choose to do so, make intentions or affirmations after the New Moon on January 29th (7:30 am EST; 4:30 am PST; 12:30 pm GMT) up to the Crescent Moon on February 1st. Make them clear. Make them your own, and in your own words.

Some possible intentions or affirmations for the New Moon in Aquarius might be:

• Today is the first day of the rest of my life, may I live it truly and authentically.

• I dare to walk my own path, following my own unique vision.

• I am able to see solutions when I am willing to look at a problem from another perspective.

• May I be open to new and innovative solutions that can help me remove the obstacles standing in my way.

• I want all fear of being different or standing out from others be lifted from me.

• I vow to uphold the noble aspiration to defend equality and promote civil rights unconditionally.

• When I surround myself with others who share similar ideals, I find myself even more motivated and inspired to do good works.

The Transformative Powers that Be

Traditionally this time of year was seen as the beginning of Winter. As the days become shorter and cooler here in the Northern Hemisphere, we go within, focussed on making our inner world safer. We would do this in preparation for the dark months ahead, but also to protect ourselves from the denizens of the other worlds. For it was also believed that at this time of year, the veil between the human realm, and the realm of the spirits, the ghosts, the wraiths, became permeable. The recently departed would walk the earth, and the living would leave them spirits and treats as they passed through. Samhain, Halloween, the Day of the Dead, along with festivals of light, such as Diwali, are all celebrated in the depths of Scorpio season.

This is a a very occult and mystical time of year. In addition to preparing hearth and home, we are also asked to turn within to do our own inner work. Scorpio is a sign of transitions and endings, and so we honor and pay respects to the dearly departed, sending them off to the other realms This is a time of letting go, of releasing, not only those who had passed, but to also confront our own mortality, as a natural part of the alchemical process we call life. Endings and beginnings, birth and death, are as mundane as they are profound. And so we all turn within along with the turning of the veil, where the past and the future collide, and our insights into the very meaning of our lives runs penetratingly deep.

This year we dive even deeper, as Pluto is in this very last degree of Capricorn, along with so many other planets, also in the very last degrees of their signs. Like a farewell party to what once was, we are bidding goodbye to a prior era. And there will be no going back to what once was. And while some will be celebrating, others will be desperately holding on to the status quo.

For the next few weeks, Mars, which is apparently slowing for its retrograde station on December 6th, will be opposite Pluto. Both at the anaretic 29th degree of Cancer and Capricorn, this is yet another portent of endings that are well nigh due.

Mars/Pluto oppositions are indicative of extreme power (even life and death) struggles with others. Because of the retrograde phase of Mars, this transit will be repeated 3 times. The first will be exact on November 3rd, the 2nd on January 3rd and the last one on April 26th. This first one is the longest of these 3 transits, and the only one when Mars is in Cancer, and Pluto in Capricorn. The struggle continues. But there is no going back after this. For on November 18th Pluto will enter Aquarius, where it will remain for the next 20 years.

What I know is that the young women I met across northeastern Syria, from all its communities ~ Arab, Kurd, Christian ~ want the same things from their lives as thousands of girls I have met every other place in the world, including the United States: a chance to go to school and an opportunity to forge their own future. There can be a holding on to the past in the very last degree of a sign, even if it must be at the expense of future growth. The Sabian symbol for the degree that Mars is in, this last degree of Cancer is “A Daughter of the American Revolution”, which speaks to the idea that there are those, once benefitting from their own revolutionary past, now aim to repress the emergence of new revolutionary ideals. They squelch any new revolutionary ideas, because they fear losing all that they have built up, and have held on to up until now.

There is a certain stability and security found in the patriarchal sign of Capricorn. Capricorn represents what we are familiar with, and what we know. It is what is already established. And any changes to this can feel destabilizing. Especially for those who benefit from it. But we are all subject to growth. The sort of growth that begins from the inside, and to which the outer circumstances of our lives need to adapt. And like a hermit crab that has outgrown its shell, periodically we need to search for one that is more accommodating.

Cancer is a matriarchal sign associated with Women, with Families, and Community. The warrior god in the sign of Cancer, is the stealth amazon, ready to take up arms, when feeling motivated to do so. And Mars in Cancer will be motivated to action when backed into a corner. Especially when she is also being called on to protect or defend those in her care. We tend to circle the wagons when Mars is in Cancer, defending the people and things that matter most to us. It could take a lot for Mars in Cancer to rise to the occasion. However, like the strong Mama bear she is, Mars in Cancer will leap into action when she perceives her loved ones or all that she loves is in danger of annihilation.
